Registered Manager - Independent Fostering Agency

Salary: £50,000 to £63,000 + Additional Benefits.

Ethelbert Fostering Services (EFS) are recruiting for a Registered Fostering Manager.

EFS are an established, family owned and Ofsted “Good” rated IFA currently with approximately 40 families caring for 50 children with a team of 8 highly motivated social workers plus a supporting administration and ancillary team. EFS is incorporated with Ethelbert Children’s Services providing comprehensive residential, education, health and therapy services.

The organisation is stable and has a strong presence in the market and the staff team are passionate and dedicated to providing best outcomes for children and young people.

The position will be based at the agency head office in Ramsgate and our foster carers are predominantly based within Kent. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key requirements of the registered manager:

• Recognised social work qualification
• Social Work England registered
• Strong experience within the fostering sector, ideally from an IFA
• Prior experience of holding Ofsted registration
• Excellent knowledge of fostering legislation, policies and procedures
• Excellent staff management and supervisory experience
• Car ownership / driver

Key responsibilities include:

• Undertaking the role of the Ofsted Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with regulations and good practice guidelines;
• Providing leadership and ensuring that adequate supervision is provided at all times;
• Overseeing all aspects of service delivery in relation to the recruitment, assessment and supervision of foster carers;
• Supporting staff and foster carers to ensure a good quality service that promotes positive outcomes for looked after children;
• Continuing to develop all aspects of the service
