Ethelbert Fostering Service is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Supervising Social Worker to be part of our highly supportive environment, where we work closely together with our carers to inspire our looked after children to succeed.
You will manage a smaller caseload of both new and experienced foster carers, offering them a high level of support. As the senior Supervising Social Worker, you will be part of the senior management team, working closely with the Practice Manager and the Registered Manager improving practice and outcomes for children.
You will support members of the social work team by providing them with regular supervision and decision making.
You will need to be hardworking, knowledgeable, with excellent organisational and communication skills and a clear commitment to ensuring our children feel safe and are protected from harm.
In turn we will ensure you are well supported, provided with regular, high-quality supervision and training.
You will join a team of dynamic and experienced Supervising Social Workers who will welcome you to settle into the role by sharing their knowledge and humour.
There are opportunities to contribute to foster carers training, to lead support groups, to carry out assessments, to offer group supervision, to carry out direct work and or groupwork with children.
You will have the opportunity to develop your own special interests within the fostering setting and play an important part in ensuring the service is continuously improving.
