Residential Workers

Salary from £24,313 - £25,283 (including sleep-ins)

We are currently recruiting Residential Workers to compliment our existing childcare teams across Kent, who work with children and young people that present with a range of social and emotional difficulties.

This is a varied role and no two days are ever the same. The position can be challenging but, for many of our current Residential Workers, the high levels of stimulation, personal development, close relationship building and ultimate job satisfaction are hard to match in any other working environment.

We invite applications from experienced Residential Workers of all ages and from those that have not yet undertaken a similar role. Ideal candidates will have a genuine desire to work with children and young people and the energy and determination to make sure their immediate and longer-term needs are met, in order for them to reach their full potentials.

Ongoing training and development opportunities will be made available to successful candidates, which will form a mandatory element of the role.

Shift patterns include weekends & sleep-ins and a flexible approach to working hours would be advantageous as would the ability to drive.

We are an equal opportunities employer

During the current pandemic there are understandable concerns around children residing in social care and the ability of social care organisations to provide continuity of service.

Based on all available government advice and guidance, and following a review of our current resources, Ethelbert Children’s Services have shared a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan (BCP) with each of its local authority partners and relevant regulatory bodies.

At this time, we do not foresee any significant difficulties in providing ongoing residential care and/or fostering services.

As new information and guidance becomes available, will be reviewing our BCP and updating our partners accordingly.

Should you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
