Painter & Decorator / Handyperson

We have a vacancy in our Maintenance Department for a Painter & Decorator / Handyperson.

The successful candidate will have their own basic tools, provision is given for materials needed, replacement tools and any additional tools required for the job. As our homes and supporting offices are located within Thanet, Deal, Folkestone and near Faversham you will need to drive and have your own car/van for work use.

The post offers a permanent, full-time role working Monday - Friday 8.00 am until 4.00 pm. The team work a eight-week rota to cover emergencies, to 'make good', covering the hours outside the work week, including the weekend.

The hourly rate is £10.00, reviewed annually in April with a £50 on call allowance (see paragraph above).

The successful candidate will have good painting & decorating knowledge with a general maintenance skill set to assist, when necessary, with kitchen and bathroom refits, spot plastering, some carpentry and any other fixes within a residential setting.

Our Maintenance Department is a well-established and valued team within the company who will support and assist new colleagues joining their Department.

All references including a DBS will be required to be in place before a start date can be confirmed for the successful applicant.

All personal protective equipment is provided, regular sanitising is carried and generally working to keep everyone safe.
