Ethelbert Children's Services (ECS) provide Residential Care, Fostering, Specialist Education and Therapeutic Services to children and young people who are unable to live with their own families. ECS has been established for nearly 50 years, providing a holistic package of care for children who have experienced multiple losses, rejection, placement breakdown and have multiple needs.
We are currently recruiting for an Area Manager. The post is a permanent contract to oversee and manage the Registered Managers within our residential children’s service.
The successful candidate will join the existing Operations Department within the established ECS Senior Management Team.
As an individual, the successful candidate needs to be child centred, a good team player, have a high level of resilience and a creative approach to managing children’s homes.
The successful candidate will need to have an excellent working knowledge of the SCCIF inspection process, Childrens Homes Regulations 2015, relevant childcare legislation and a minimum of three years management experience in a residential childcare setting.
Due to the residential homes being located across East Kent the successful candidate will need to be a driver and have their own car (mileage allowances paid).
Full references, including an enhanced DBS, will be in place before commencing employment, with a proposed starting date of September 2020.
