From our online referrals page you can:

• Upload referral information directly from your computer (.doc or .pdf files)
• Complete an online referral form
• Referrals can be for specific homes / services, or general enquiries as to possible matching options

National Minimum Standards

View, Organise & Search National Minimum Standards for Children's Homes

National Minimum Standards for children's homes are the benchmark guidelines for measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of individual residential service. Our registered managers and residential staff groups recognise the importance of ensuring the standards are met and exceeded in order to produce superior outcomes for the children and young people in our care.

Since the handover from CSCI to Ofsted in 2007, the standards have been regrouped and mapped to the Every Child Matters Outcomes Framework. To simplify the understanding of how the individual standards are now related to each outcome, Ethelbert Childrens Services have introduced an interactive version of the standards that can be viewed in either format. The standards can also be easily searched for specific words or phrases so that specific guidelines can be quickly identified and understood.

In recognising the need for local authorities to continually monitor the services commissioned to look after their children and young people, the resource has been added to our website for general use. Interactive standards for fostering services will be added soon.
